Meet Our Team

Hayley Winter - Founder & Director, Yoga Sports Science

As a Yoga practitioner and teacher for over two decades, Hayley realized Yoga was the missing link in strength and conditioning training a decade ago. Yoga Sport Science
is the result of that realization.

“I have a vision for Yoga Sport Science: to unite modern Sports Science approaches with the authentic science of Yoga and maximize athletic performance. Underpinning that vision is my desire to make a positive
and lasting impact on sport, and improve career opportunities.”

Tim Newenham
Performance Advisor, Yoga Sports Science

Tim is one of the most respected sports coaches in the UK. He achieved success with both national teams and individual athletes. When not coaching Tim is active within sporting bodies such as the English Institute of Sport and British Olympic Association.

“Yoga, for me, had a few connotations before I understood what it meant.
The actual body control – at speed, at low speed, static positions, breathing, relaxation, controlling heart rate, controlling emotions – has a huge part to play
in the preparation of athletes.”

Leon Taylor

Leon has participated in 3 Olympic games, winning
an Olympic Silver Medal in Diving at Athens 2004. A practitioner and teacher of Yoga, he provides the
athlete’s perspective that informs our training.
