Olympic Special: Yoga for Athletes with Hayley Winter
1 Day Course: held at our New York Campus
With the Olympic and Paralympic Games on the horizon,
this 1 day course explores why an athlete-centered yoga
approach is a powerful performance strategy for any athlete
wanting to perform to their highest level and remain injury
free.
This course addresses specific athletic requirements such
as biomechanical efficiency, economy of movement,
improved mobility and stability, functional flexibility, dynamic
control, respiratory strength, mental stamina and athlete preparation.
Participants will learn some of the science and the secrets of success used by our Yoga Sports Coaches™ worldwide.
The course will include anatomical, sport-specific resources and performance analysis software to support the students learning.
This course awards 7 Continuing Educational Credits to members of the Yoga Alliance.
Students applying to join our YSS 100 Hour or YSS 200 Hour training in September will receive a discount of $150 when their fees are paid in full in advance of the course
start date.

Advance Your Yoga Teaching: Improve Your Body Reading Skills

This course is suitable for yoga teachers and students
studying on a yoga teacher training course.
The aim of the course is to help attendees learn to train their
eye to the structural imbalances that can create potential
injuries. Attendees will learn simple and effective ways to
gather information just by eye. They will also learn how to
use key yoga techniques to screen the movement mechanics
of their yoga students.
The session will include anatomical resources and performance analysis software to support the students learning.

This course is suitable for yoga teachers, students and
practitioners of yoga who want to understand more about
why Downward Dog has become so popular, but also why
it can be potentially harming to your practice. This course
shines a light on the controversial overuse of this pose.
The course will explore the students anatomical and structural
mechanics in Downard Dog and include anatomical resources
and performance analysis software to support the students learning.

This course is suitable for soccer players, coaches,
healthcare professionals, yoga teachers, students, and
practitioners of yoga who want to understand how yoga
works to improve player performance and remain injury free.
Hayley Winter’s background in sport started in soccer /
English football and she will be sharing some of the
techniques she used when working with players, coaches
and the English FA. The session will include anatomical and biomechanical resources and performance analysis software to support the students learning.
